Sugatus 60 MW Solar Ground Mounting Structure LOI – A Big Step for Utility-Scale Solar

For utility-scale and large industrial solar power plants, ground mounted structures form the backbone of the entire photovoltaic system, holding modules at the right tilt, orientation and height for optimum generation. A well-designed ground mounting structure must handle wind loads, soil conditions, corrosion and long design life expectations of 25 years or more, which is why developers and EPCs look for specialized structure partners instead of generic fabrication vendors.
Sugatus new 60 MW LOI: What it covers
Under the newly signed Letter of Intent, Sugatu Infra will design, manufacture and supply 60 MW of solar ground mounting structures, with 15 MW dedicated to export markets. The scope sits under a project management consultancy model, where Sugatu supports the client from design finalization to supply of the complete balance of system (BoS) for the mounting package.
The LOI includes:

Supply of primary structures, purlins, rails and supports for PV modules.

High-strength fasteners and accessories for reliable, quick installation.

Earthing materials and lightning arrestors to meet safety and standard requirements.

Associated Class C and D items typically covered under EPC/BoS packages, ensuring a single-window supply solution.
Why project management consultancy (PMC) matters in mounting?
In large MW-scale installations, even small design or BoS errors in mounting structures can lead to misalignment, hot-spots, increased installation time or rework. By operating under a project management consultancy framework, Sugatu can coordinate drawings, structural checks, bill of materials, logistics, and interface with EPC contractors so that the structure supply aligns tightly with project schedules.
